Thai Inspired Beef & Mushroom Lettuce Wraps

I completely forgot how much ground beef I used, but I'm going to guesstimate and say a good pound or so. It was 80/20.
1 package mushrooms, diced
1/2 onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 good tbs fresh ginger, minced
good handful of fresh Basil
1 Lime
2 tbs soy sauce
2 tbs sesame oil
2 tbs mirin

Saute the onions, garlic, ginger, & mushrooms with a little olive oil. Add in the ground beef and break up as it cooks. Cook until the meat is nice and brown. Drain the beef mixture and then return to the pan. In a bowl whisk together all your liquids & 1/2 the juice of the lime. Add in the chopped basil, give it a good stir and  cook another couple of minutes to incorporate the flavors. Taste for salt. Serve in Ice burg Lettuce cups & enjoy! I served mine with lime wedges on the side to add more if desired.
