Hi Guys! I'm back! I'm embarrassed to admit how long it's been since I've posted a new entry on my blog. I do try to post often on my Facebook Fan Page! After moving out of state (hello PA) and a couple of surgeries I'm back on track. Clean Eating, nothing crazy! I'm not watching the scale. Just taking better care. Monday through Friday Clean Eats (as much as I can) lot's and lot's of water, and weekends whatever I feel like eating! I'm even going back to biking (even though it's made me feel a 100 years old).
Some have asked for everything from Groceries, budgets, recipes and more. I'm finally doing it for you guys! This Grocery haul cost me $120 bucks. I do a lot of food prep. I know, I know what you're thinking who has time for that! Even if you just make enough breakfasts for the week, or snacks for the week, or 2 or 3 lunches or dinners, it's a huge help! Let's face it we all lead very busy lives.
Now I'm no fitness instructor or nutritionist, but I grew up with a mother who was! I've also done a lot of research. I'm not saying my way is right or is the bible you must follow! It just works for me, and maybe you'll find that it works for you as well! I don't claim to be perfect, just living a "healthier" and happier life!
In my next post I will provide a list of groceries from this post, and from then on start explaining my routine and my food prep recipes. You do what works for you! In the meantime I'll leave you with this recipe I made this weekend. I have half a waffle and one cup of fruit if I choose this for a breakfast.
WHOLE WHEAT WAFFLES
2 cups Whole Wheat
1 mashed Banana
1 apple pureed (you can add a splash or two of water to help it out)
2 beaten eggs
1 1/4 cup Organic Milk ( I don't believe in skim so you use what you like)
4 teaspoons baking powder
1 tablespoon of raw sugar (or regular sugar)
Pinch of salt
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
Mix all your wet in one bowl and dry in another. Incorporate together and give them a try!
Note* Again, as clean eating as I can (not 100% perfect) it's about living a healthier life! Hope you Enjoy.
