Green Beans w/Walnuts, Bacon & Fresh Basil




1 pound fresh Green Beans
Fresh Basil
4-6 slices of bacon, cooked, or pancetta
Handful of Walnuts
1 red onion, chopped
Olive Oil.


Boil green beans for 4-5 minutes. Drain and let sit for a minute. Saute the onions in the olive oil adding a little salt. Once translucent add in the green beans. Cook for about 5-8 minutes or until the desired tenderness you like. Add in the walnuts, grated cheese (optional), & fresh basil. Give it a good stir until heated through. Serve and enjoy!
