This recipe is great for chicken. Since chicken is so mild, it gives it a nice little kick.
2 cups ketchup
1 cup water
1/2 cup red wine vinegar
5 tablespoons light brown sugar
5 tablespoons granulated sugar
1/2 tablespoon fresh ground pepper
1/2 tablespoon ground mustard
1/2 tablespoon paprika
1/2 tablespoon onion powder
Juice of 1 lemon
1 tablespoon Worceshire sauce
3/4 cup of Italian Dressing ( I used Ken's Lite Northern Italian w/Basil & Romano)
I have always gotten help from the Neely's on the Foodnetwork for bbq recipes. This was the original recipe:

I tweaked it a bit as you can see.

I whisked it all together really well, poured it in a big pot, brought it up to a boil, reduced it to a simmer and let it cook about an hour. It thickens up very nicely. I poured it over 6 skinless, boneless chicken breasts and let it marinade for 3 hours in the fridge. I then popped them on my grill for 15 minutes turning them once on medium-high heat and they were gorgeous and flavorful!
