Buffalo Chicken Burgers with Ranch Slaw
I was thinking of a nice spicy chicken wing with blue cheese when I made this meal. I didn't have any Blue Cheese on hand, so I used ranch instead. I hope you enjoy this!
1 pound Ground White Meat Chicken
1/2 red onion, chopped
1-2 cloves garlic, minced
2 egg whites
1/4 cup (or more) of Franks Hot Sauce
1/2 cup plain breadcrumbs
s/p pepper to taste
You can add in a little lime juice if you wish.
With the slaw:
I bought cabbage already shredded, added in Ranch dressing and let it sit in the fridge for at least 30 minutes. If you have blue cheese that works great too.
Whisk the egg whites in a bowl and set aside. Mix together the chicken, onion, garlic, breadcrumbs, salt , pepper and lime juice (if using). Pour in the egg whites and hot sauce. Form 6 patties and put in the fridge for at least a half hour. This will allow all the flavors to kiss and get married.
Cook on a stove top or grill. I brushed on more hot sauce on each side of the burgers as they cooked.
I served "Carrot Fries"
Baby carrots
salt, pepper
olive oil
preheat oven to 400
bake for 10-20 minutes or until desired tenderness.
Enjoy!!
